WELCOME HOME!
Pepperidge Woods Cooperative, Inc. is a resident-owned manufactured home community in Barrington, New Hampshire. We are a terrific neighborhood for people who like a country setting with local conveniences and just a short drive to Dover, Portsmouth and Concord. We are perfectly positioned in the middle of New Hampshire's beautiful nature-trifecta ... the lakes, the mountains and the ocean ... we can enjoy any of them in about an hour ride or less!
Pepperidge Woods is owned by the Co-op Members who live here -- we are a resident-owned community (ROC). That means we control the rent and make the rules. In early 2004, the NH Community Loan Fund developed Pepperidge Woods to be a resident-owned community (ROC) and, in 2010, the Cooperative purchased the land and infrastructure, such as the roads and water lines. Now, a democratically elected Board of Directors manages the business of running Pepperidge Woods. Every Member household in the community has a say in who sits on that Board, how we spend our money, the annual budget, and whether we make changes to the rent.
We're also part of a national network of almost 200 ROCs just like us. That membership provides us with access to expert coaching on how to run our ROC, leadership development and training, communications with dozens of community leaders who face many of the same issues we do, and more. Life in Pepperidge Woods Cooperative is truly different than in a commercially owned community – we invite you to find out first-hand how that difference makes living here so much better.
